| PADI Divemaster Course |

Why take this course?
This course is for the discerning diver who wishes to take the first step into Professional Diving as a PADI Divemaster. It is the stepping stone towards PADI Instructor levels. You will become knowledgeable in all areas of diver training and care. Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. You will be able to carry out Scuba Reviews and conduct several other PADI programs. After additional training be able to teach the Emergency First Aid Course.
Who can take this course?
Anyone who is a Rescue Diver (or equivalent level from another organisation), h
Have an up to date First Aid Certificate (within last 2 years) is
Must be minimum of 18 years of age. Have a minimum of 20 dives to start the course.
You will also need to submit medical clearance to dive from a Medical Practitioner which must be current within last 12 months.
How long does it take?
Our Divemaster course is run on an Internship basis and takes between 2-6 months to complete.
We do also run Personally tailored Divemaster program schedules over a shorter period.
What's involved ?
There are 12 Knowledge Development sessions including home study beforehand.
During the program you will learn leadership skills to an exemplary level and aptitude.
You will complete a skills circuit covering the 20 Open Water Diver skills to a satisfactory level.
You will need to attend at least five Confined Water dive sessions and six Open Water dive sessions.
There are several waterskills and stamina exercises involving swimming, snorkelling, floating and towing another diver. There is also a scuba equipment exchange to be completed underwater with another diver and a map of a local dive. You will also be required to complete a diver rescue showing a good level of skill and aptitude.
