Open Water

Why take this course?

This is the ultimate course for the beginner looking to start their recreational diving. It will qualify you to dive with other divers at the same level or higher and allows you to dive anywhere in the world.
 
Give you a maximum depth of 18 metres which is sufficient for most dive sites all around the world.

WARNING: Diving is so much fun and offers excitement at levels that suit you as an individual it may change your life forever.
 

Who can take this course?

Anyone aged 10 or older and
can swim 200 metres and/or complete 300 metre mask snorkel fin swim and
float/treadwater for 10 minutes
Be in good health, reasonable fitness and to be comfortable in the water
 

How long does it take?

Four days and some home pre-course study.
 

Whats involved ?

Complete all Knowledge Reviews and quizzes 1  2 3 4 and 5 from the Open Water Diver Manual (home study)
Attend the knowledge development sessions 1 2 3 4 and 5 with a PADI Instructor
Complete Confined water pool training sessions 1 2 3 4 and 5
Successfully complete Open Water qualifying dives 1 2 3 and 4.
Children aged 10-14 will qualify as Junior Open Water Divers and be limited to 12m depth.
